Experience

Since 1996, Del has concentrated exclusively in alternate dispute resolution primarily arbitration and administrative hearing officer services for cities, counties, public and private agencies, businesses, individuals and federal, state and local agencies. Among the agencies served are the cities of San Diego, Chula Vista, San Bernardino, Santa Ana, Encinitas, as well as the County of San Diego, the National Conflict Resolution Center, the South Bay Expressway and the San Diego Metropolitan Transit System. Federal agencies include:
  • FINRA (Financial Industry Regulatory Authority)
  • National Association of Securities Dealers
  • New York Stock Exchange
  • National Futures Association
  • U. S. Postal Service
  • Equal Opportunity Employment Commission
  • and many others
Del has heard to conclusion approximately 1,800 administrative cases, 300 mediations, 600 arbitrations and many other alternative dispute forums. He now emphasizes arbitrations (primarily as Chair) of securities fraud disputes between stock brokers and customers and administrative hearings for the various local, state and federal agencies.

Community Involvement

In addition to his professional experience, Del has given significant amounts of “pro bono” time to civic organizations. He has served as chairman of a private school board, president of a United Fund Agency, and as a member of several other boards including the Senior Olympics and National Conflict Resolution Center. Del has given his time as a speaker and panelist on law arbitration and administrative hearings, and has been a guest lecturer in law schools.

Education and Credentials

Del was graduated from Northwestern University (Evanston, IL) with a BS in literature and history and a J.D. with honors from Northwestern University School of Law. Del is a member of the Bars of the States of California, Arizona and Illinois and is admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court. He belongs to the National Association of Administrative Law Judiciary, California Dispute Resolution Council and the ADR section of the American and San Diego County bar associations.
